Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that removes fat deposits from under your skin. AS FOR VASER liposuction refers to a type of liposuction that breaks apart fat cells and loosens them from your deeper tissues so that fat can more effectively be removed during the treatment.
VASER is an acronym for vibration amplification of sound energy at resonance. This ultrasound technology uses powerful waves to disrupt the bonds between fat cells.
VASER liposuction is considered a more controlled and gentle kind of cosmetic procedure, and it requires a skilled and experienced provider to do it right.
You may be a candidate for liposuction if you’re a healthy person who doesn’t smoke or have a history of bleeding conditions.
Liposuction isn’t considered a weight-loss tool. People who have the best results with VASER liposuction, or any type of liposuction, are already within 15 pounds of their ideal weight. This procedure is for people who are trying to spot-treat fat deposits and reveal muscle tone underneath
Why get VASER Liposuction in Turkey?
According to the Turkish Healthcare Travel Council, over 750,000 inbound patients from 144 countries choose Turkey for medical service annually. The popularity of the VASER Liposuction in Turkey is also rising. Let’s consider the reasons why women and men from over the world choose Turkey to do a VASER liposuction.
- Technologically-advanced hospitals
Starting from 2003, the Turkish Ministry of Health launched the Program for Health Support Sector Transformation to increase the financing into the sector and improve the quality of healthcare.
This initiative gave a result, nowadays more than 50 medical centers in Turkey are JCI (Joint Commission International) accredited. This is confirmation that the hospital follows the strict world’s standards in medicine.
Currently, Turkish hospitals have achieved the level of top facilities in the USA, Europe, Asia. The equipment is renovated every 1-3 years to provide accurate medical procedures. Due to this, people who want to get a VASER liposuction in Turkey can be sure of its high quality.
- Affordable prices
The local government does everything possible to make Turkey a top destination for medical tourism in the world offering an advanced level of medicine at affordable prices. Moreover, the general price policy within the country is not high — accommodation, meals, transport are quite inexpensive in Turkey.
As a result, the prices for medical services in Turkey (including VASER liposuction) are 4-5 times lower than in the USA, and 2-3 times than in Germany, Austria, Spain, South Korea, or Israel
- Experienced doctors
One more reason to get a VASER liposuction in Turkey is expert doctors. Medical staff that work in the hospital serving international tourists regularly practice in the US and European medical facilities to interchange the experience and apply the newest technologies.
Moreover, many Turkish plastic surgeons are members of international organizations such as the ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) which gathers top specialists from over the world.
- Extra services
Turkey is a customer-friendly country. Local clinics for plastic surgery offer a wide range of additional services for free.
For instance, accommodation, transfer at the airport, language assistance are already included in the VASER liposuction price. Some clinics are even more generous — they offer spa procedures, meals, and even excursion tours.
Difference Between VASER Liposuction & Traditional Liposuction
- VASER liposuction is a similar procedure to traditional liposuction, though there are some important differences. The biggest difference is that VASER liposuction allows for more precision in the fat removal process. It isn’t a tool to remove large fat deposits.
- The best VASER liposuction results involve a contouring approach, which involves removing small fat deposits to reveal muscle tone underneath. VASER liposuction won’t redefine your entire physique, but it can refine your figure in small, impactful ways.
- Some people also claim that VASER technology makes recovery from liposuction less painful and that healing happens faster.
VASER Liposuction Procedure in Turkey
Vaser liposuction is liposuction using ultrasound-based technology. The ultrasound emits pulses of energy wherever it encounters fat, which “melts” the fat without damaging the surrounding tissue.
We start by marking the chest with the areas where we plan to make an incision and drawing the shape we want to achieve.
To prepare the patient for surgery we inject local anesthetic using the tumescent technique. This firms up the area we want to work on and plays a key role in reducing bleeding during the procedure.
The benefit of a local anesthetic is also reduced downtime for the patient. It can take a couple of hours longer to recover from a general anesthetic, whereas with local anesthetic you can get up straight after the procedure. We can also talk to the patient and let them know what is happening. However, the patient can’t actually see what’s happening, because they’re covered – as protection and we find that this tends to reduce patient anxiety.
Once the entire area is numb, we make small incisions in the crease of the arm and the areola. We then insert a thin VASER probe, which sends high-frequency ultrasound waves through the fat cells in the chest.
Some patients will have breast gland tissue that needs to be removed. This cannot be removed by liposuction only, so in a gynecomastia procedure, we are often combining liposuction with gland excision surgery. The breast tissue is removed through a small incision made around the areola.
To prevent the areola from sinking in after surgery we will leave some tissue for support. As already mentioned, the benefit of the VASER system is that it allows surgeons to “sculpt” the area, and create the shape the patient wants. So it isn’t necessarily about removing all of the fat but making sure it’s in the right shape and contours
Once we are satisfied that we have removed the gland tissue and achieved the right shape, the skin is closed up with small stitches. We do a quick safety check of the patient, then the procedure is over. You should be able to go home straight away once all of this is clear
Recovery time for VASER liposuction
- After VASER liposuction, your body might look a little bruised and swollen in the areas that were targeted. You probably won’t be able to see results right away because your body needs time to heal.
- You’ll be given sterilized cotton pads to dress the affected area, as it’ll be weeping fluid in the next 24 to 48 hours. You may need to drink extra fluids to flush the anesthesia from your body. You’ll also need to wear a compression garment for several weeks to help reduce the swelling.
- After about 3 to 6 months, you’ll start to see the results more clearly as your body settles into its modified form. For some people, it may take a couple more months to see results.
- Results from VASER liposuction can be permanent. But the way your body looks after recovery is partially up to you. After getting liposuction, you’ll need to keep up your diet and exercise routine so that your body doesn’t regain the fat deposits that were removed.
Also, keep in mind that there’s no way to eliminate all the visible signs of aging. Weight fluctuations, inflammation, and simple gravity can all change the way your results look over time.

Cost of VASER liposuction in Turkey
In the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe, liposuction prices are between £4000 – £6000. However, VASER liposuction cost in Turkey is around 50% lower. The prices change based on the number of liposuction areas.
The reason behind the big difference between Europe and Turkey is the average labor costs for each country. In Turkey, the labor cost is much lower than it is in Europe. This allows more people to have their treatments at affordable prices and meanwhile the plastic surgeons in Turkey get more and more experienced compared to their European colleagues.
